This likely began about a month ago with the new moon in Aries on March 21st. Solar eclipses occur with new moons, so we have two in a row in Aries, and 2 new moons in a row in the same sign usually connect to one another. That new moon occured at a special position, the 0 degrees Aries Point, which likely propelled us to take action. Whatever you’ve already been working on can get a massive boost with this eclipse, and we’re taking the intangible and making it real.
This eclipse is even more special because it occurs at 29 degrees, which is the anaretic degree. There are 30 degrees in every Zodiac sign, and 29 degrees is the very last degree and called the anaretic degree. It’s massive energy that requires action, immediately. We can feel such a huge desire to take action now that can’t be ignored. Hopefully, you began with the March new moon, so you’ve already done your homework and aren’t acting impulsively. Being impulsive may lead to problems, but if you’re being smart, this can be an amazing time for doing something you’ve dreamt about for a while, or didn’t think was actually possible at this point.
Transit Jupiter is also in Aries, and while it’s a bit too wide to be conjunct this eclipse, it does trigger the eclipse not too long after (May 15th). That means this energy started with the March 21st new moon, and is going to last until mid-May. We have about 2 months the make the most of it. It is one of those things that will be gone quickly, and once it’s gone, it’s gone, so don’t miss out!
One thing to note: Mercury retrograde begins the day after this eclipse on April 21st, and lasts until May 14th. This occurs in Taurus though, not Aries, so it doesn’t aspect the eclipse. Still, we have to keep this energy in mind as we’re making our way through. The Mercury retrograde might show this is a great time for a second chance, to try again. But it also shows we need to make sure we’ve thought this through, and again, avoid being impulsive. In Taurus, we can be lazier than usual, however this Aries energy is anything but lazy, so it may translate instead to frustration that makes us *feel* stuck. But, it’s great energy to get unstuck!
In the world, we may see a lot more activity across a variety of areas and with many different situations. Aries does connect to war though, so we may see some extra violence with this eclipse, a sudden attack or accident.
